OPEC and its Russia-led non-OPEC partners in the production cut deal may roll over in early December the current cuts into June 2020, as Russia will likely support the cartel’s efforts to raise the price of oil, Reuters reported on Thursday, citing OPEC sources and delegates.

Industry Must Remain Productive While Targeting Zero Emissions 7 October 2019

Light, sweet crude oil prices on the New York market gained on Apr. 2, with both May and June contracts closing close to $1/bbl higher. Brent prices in London also rose for June and July contracts. The increases mark record 2019 highs for the second day in a row as concerns continue over cuts by members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries as well as Venezuelan disruptions.

 The US will position itself as a net energy exporter in 2020 and will remain so throughout a projection period to 2050 resulting from large increases in production of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas plant liquids (NGPL) coupled with slow growth in energy consumption, according to the US Energy Information Administration’s Annual Energy Outlook 2019.
